NAME THE MASCOT CONTEST

Contest Details

The Ontario Lacrosse Association (OLA) is inviting the entire lacrosse community to help name its first-ever official mascot. The selected name will be revealed during the mascot’s official debut at the 2026 Ontario Lacrosse Festival.

Eligibility

Entries are welcome from anyone in the Ontario lacrosse community, including players, coaches, officials, volunteers, families, teams, clubs, and fans.

There is no limit to the number of entries that may be submitted.

Submission Deadline

All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. ET on Friday, July 17, 2026.

Finalists & Prizes

Following the submission deadline, Ontario Lacrosse will review all eligible entries and select three (3) finalists in each of the following categories:

  • Best Individual (Player) Entry

  • Best Group Entry (Team, Club or Family)

  • Best Individual (Volunteer, Coach, Official or Fan) Entry

From these nine (9) finalists, Ontario Lacrosse will award First Place, Second Place and Third Place, regardless of category. The First Place (Grand Prize) winner will have their submitted name selected as the official name of the Ontario Lacrosse mascot.

Prizes will be awarded based on the type of winning entry and may include:

  • Individual Entries: A $250 Canuck Stuff Gift Card redeemable at the Official Festival Merchandise Tent during the 2026 Ontario Lacrosse Festival.

  • Team Entries: A set of special edition Ontario Lacrosse mascot t-shirts and a team pizza party.

  • Club Entries: An official Ontario Lacrosse mascot appearance at a club community event.

  • Family Entries: A $500 Gift Card to The Keg Steakhouse + Bar.

Ontario Lacrosse reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value if necessary.

Selection Process

Following the submission deadline, Ontario Lacrosse will review all eligible entries and select the official name. The winning name will be revealed during the 2026 Ontario Lacrosse Festival as part of the mascot's official debut.
