BRING LACROSSE Canada’s National Sport to YOUR SCHOOL

The Ontario Lacrosse School Program (First Catch) is an A+ opportunity to introduce students to Canada’s national summer sport through fun, engaging, and educational experiences.

Designed for schools and educators, the program brings lacrosse directly into your gym or classroom—no prior experience required. Through interactive activities, basic skill development, and age-appropriate instruction, students are introduced to the game in a way that is inclusive, active, and easy to follow.

Our sessions go beyond just sport. Students learn about the history and cultural significance of lacrosse while building confidence, teamwork skills, and a positive connection to physical activity.

Delivered by trained instructors using safe, beginner-friendly equipment, each session includes:

  • An interactive introduction to the game

  • Hands-on skill development activities

  • Engaging, movement-based games that keep all students involved

  • A focus on teamwork, participation, and confidence-building

Programs are adaptable to fit your class size, schedule, and space, making it easy to integrate into your school day.

HALL OF FAME FIELD TRIP OPPORTUNITIES

Schools and community groups can also extend their lacrosse experience through a visit to the Ontario Lacrosse Hall of Fame & Museum, located in St. Catharines, Ontario.

Students can explore the history of the game, learn about its cultural roots, and discover the achievements of athletes and builders who have shaped lacrosse in Ontario.

These visits provide a valuable opportunity to connect physical activity with learning, storytelling, and cultural understanding.
