OPPORTUNITY

Women’s Field Lacrosse continues to open doors for Ontario athletes at home and abroad. The sport offers meaningful opportunities for female athletes to showcase their skills, pursue competitive goals, and access higher levels of play.

In Ontario, a growing number of high schools now offer women’s field lacrosse as part of their athletic programming, including opportunities to compete at the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) championships. Student-athletes can also pursue the sport at the post-secondary level through the Ontario University Athletics (OUA), while National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) lacrosse programs provide additional collegiate pathways abroad.

Beyond college and university, Women’s Field Lacrosse players can compete professionally in the Women’s Lacrosse League (WLL) and compete internationally with Team Canada, the Haudenosaunee Nationals, or other national teams.
