Athlete PATHWAY
Men’s Field Lacrosse in Ontario is introduced through representative (rep) programming starting at U9, where players as young as six learn the fundamentals of the outdoor game while developing position-specific skills, strategy, and field awareness. Athletes continue through minor field lacrosse in the Ontario Minor Field Lacrosse League (OMFLL) from U9 to U17.
From minor field, players may advance into junior through the Ontario Junior Men’s Field Lacrosse League (OJMFLL), which serves athletes aged 17 to 21. Junior men’s field Lacrosse acts as an important bridge for developing players, offering elevated competition and exposure to provincial and national team identification.
Beyond junior men’s field, athletes can continue into senior through the Ontario Senior Men’s Field Lacrosse League (OSMFLL). At every stage, standout athletes may be identified for provincial and national team opportunities, including the chance to represent Team Ontario and compete internationally with Team Canada, the Haudenosaunee Nationals, or other national teams.
