Ontario Lacrosse Association Approves Trenton Kodiaks For Senior “B” Competition In 2026

TORONTO, ON – February 5, 2026 – The Ontario Lacrosse Association (OLA) has approved the Trenton Kodiaks for competition in Ontario Series Lacrosse (OSL) for the 2026 season.

The approval was granted by the OLA Board of Directors at its meeting on December 6, 2025, following a review of the submitted application and a recommendation from Ontario Series Lacrosse. The decision aligns with the OLA’s mandate to oversee and support the delivery of structured, sustainable senior lacrosse programming across the province.

The Trenton Kodiaks will compete as a Senior “B” program within Ontario Series Lacrosse. The team will be based in Trenton and will play its home games at the Duncan McDonald Memorial Community Gardens. The application outlined a strong foundation of organizational leadership and operational planning, supported by experience at the senior, junior, and minor levels of lacrosse within Ontario.

The addition of the Trenton Kodiaks expands senior-level lacrosse opportunities in the Quinte region, an area with a longstanding history in the sport and continued growth at the minor level through the Quinte Minor Lacrosse Association. The placement of the team supports the OLA’s broader objective of maintaining strong regional representation and sustainable competition within Ontario Series Lacrosse.

The OLA will continue to work with Ontario Series Lacrosse and its member clubs as preparations for the 2026 season move forward.
